About the Course
Learn Morse Code: The Basics is a self paced, Independent Study course. The course uses a combination of Instructional media including: movies, audio, animations, and text to deliver the lessons to you at your own pace.
Learners will then be able to work through each lesson and review the lessons and activities as many times as you need. There are no scheduled class times, so learn at your own pace.
Enrollment in this course is currently for individual students only.
Course Overview
This beginner level, independent study course is designed to teach you the basics of Morse Code.
WaveTalkers Instructor, Chris Mattia, W6AH, will be your guide on this journey.
The course begins with a Getting Started chapter to help you become a more informed learner.
Then in the Learning to Listen section, learn how to identify the sound and rhythm of the alphabet, numbers, and common punctuation in Morse Code at the conversational speed of 20 wpm.
Then in Learning to Send, learn how to built your skills to be able to send at a target speed of 13-15 wpm.
Learning a language requires patience, dedication, and focus. Morse Code is a language and the goal of this course is to help you get started on your journey learning this amazing language.
So take as much time and practice as you need to develop a solid foundation in the basics of Morse Code.
